Partizan Belgrade ( Serbian - Cyrillic Спортско друштво Партизан , Sportsko društvo Partizan , German sports club Partizan , also ЈСД Партизан, JSD Partizan or Југословенско спортско Друштво Партизан, Jugoslovensko Sportsko Društvo Partizan , Yugoslavian sports club Partizan) - often Partizan called - is a Serbian sports club with (today) independent departments and, in addition to Red Star, one of the two top clubs in the capital Belgrade .
The association was named in honor of the Yugoslav partisans and was founded on October 4, 1945 by high officers of the Yugoslav People's Army . His sports clubs start today in 26 different sports . The club is best known for its soccer team , basketball team , water polo team and handball team . In addition to numerous national titles and successes, the sports club has also won several titles at European level, making it one of the most successful clubs in the world.
