The 2019/20 Cymru Premier was the 28th season of the top Welsh division in men's football . Until 2019, the league was known as the Welsh Premier League . It opened on August 16, 2019. The last games took place on March 6, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the UK , the season was declared over on May 19, 2020. The defending champion was New Saints FC .

mode

The twelve teams initially competed against each other twice in a first round, so that each club played 22 games. The league was then divided, with the six best-placed teams playing for the championship and international starting places and the six worst-placed teams against relegation. In these divided rounds, the teams should again compete against each other twice. The results from the preliminary round have been adopted.

The master takes part in the qualification for the Champions League 2020/21 . The teams in places two to four are entitled to start in the qualification for the Europa League 2020/21 . The last two teams in the relegation round were relegated. The planned play-offs at the end of the season were canceled due to the cancellation.

Because the games were played differently at the time of the cancellation, the ranking of the championship and relegation round was drawn up according to the points scored per game.

Preliminary round

The six best-placed clubs reached the championship round, the teams in positions seven to twelve played against relegation. It should be noted that the number of points achieved in each of the 22 games in the preliminary round was transferred to the individual groups.
