The Deeside Stadium ( Welsh Stadiwm Coleg Glannau Dyfrdwy , Deeside College Stadium) is a football stadium with athletics track in the Welsh city of Connah's Quay , Principal Area Flintshire , United Kingdom . The football club Gap Connah's Quay , founded in 1946 and currently in the Welsh Premier League , plays its home games at Deeside Stadium. The Deeside Athletics Club also uses the facility.

history

The sports facility in north-east Wales was completed in 1998 and today has 1,500 seats, including 500 seats. It is next to Coleg Cambria Deeside College . The stadium has an eight-lane synthetic athletics track that was built in accordance with national regulations. The main stand is covered and the facility has floodlights and changing rooms.

Visitor record and average attendance

The attendance record was set on May 14, 2016, when Gap Connah's Quay FC beat local rivals Airbus UK Broughton 1-0 in the Europa League play-off final of the Welsh Premier League . There were 904 spectators in the stadium. The club thus secured a place in qualifying for the 2016/17 UEFA Europa League .
