Omagh Town Football Club was a Northern Irish football club from Omagh in County Tyrone .
history
The club was founded in 1962 as Omagh Celtic and renamed Omagh Town in 1969. The team played for the first time in the IFA Premiership in 1990/91 . After five years they were relegated to ninth place due to a change in the composition of the league. From 1997/98 to 1998/99 and from 2000/01 to 2004/05 inclusive, the club was again first class. The best placement was twice the 5th place.
In 1998 and 2003 they were represented in the UEFA Intertoto Cup . Against MŠK Rimavská Sobota and FK Schachzjor Salihorsk the team lost each in the first round.
Due to financial problems, the club was dissolved after the 2004/05 season.
