The Virslīga 2000 was the ninth season of the highest Latvian football league since it was founded in 1992. It was hosted by the Latvian Football Association . The season started on April 8, 2000 and ended on November 4, 2000.

Skonto Riga became Latvian champions for the ninth time in a row.
