The Meistriliiga 2000 was the tenth season of the highest Estonian football division of men. The regular games were played from April 1 to October 29, 2000, the two relegation games on November 5 and 11, 2000.

season

The FC Levadia Maardu could defend the title from last year impressive, with 23 wins and he had 5 draws in any season defeat. It was the club's second championship in history. With the Estonian Cup you could even win the double in 1999 and 2000 twice in a row. As the reigning Estonian champions Levadia failed in the following 2001/02 Champions League season at Bohemians Dublin .

Due to the dissolution of FC Lantana Tallinn at the beginning of the season, FC Lootus Kohtla-Järve came to the Meistriliiga. Lelle SK was replaced by last year's four-placed Esiliiga, FC Valga Warrior . The FC Kuressaare went at the end of the season in the relegation against the former Lelle SK, the name JK Tervis Pärnu took over, and was able to decide for themselves after Pärnu had no eligible players available.
