The FC Lootus Kohtla-Järve is an Estonian football club from Kohtla-Järve and plays in the second highest division of Estonia , the Esiliiga . The club colors are blue-yellow-black.
General
The association was founded very late in 1998. After entering the second highest division in Estonia, the club managed to move up to the highest division in 2000. After two years in the first division, they were relegated in 2002. The ascent succeeded in the very next year. In the year of promotion they got down again and had a record goal difference of -106 goals. In 2004 the club was renamed FC Lootus Alataguse Kohtla-Järve. 2005 came financial difficulties, which is why the club was only allowed to compete in the third division. After the renewed rise in 2006 you had to play again in the third division in 2007 through another relegation.
