Meistriliiga 2017

The Meistriliiga 2018 was the 28th season of the highest Estonian football division for men. The Estonian championship, officially held as A. Le Coq Premium liiga , should start on February 25, 2018. The first matchday was postponed due to a cold snap. The season began on March 3, when four of the five games were played in a hall for the first time. The season ends on November 10, 2018.

As in the previous season, the league comprised ten teams. The defending champion was FC Flora Tallinn .

On November 4, 2017, FC Infonet Tallinn and FC Levadia Tallinn decided to merge.

Promoted from the Esiliiga were second division champions Maardu Linnameeskond and the second JK Tallinna Kalev . On December 18, 2017, Maardu Linnemeeskond withdrew for financial reasons and was replaced by FC Kuressaare .

The championship was played in a regular season with two first and two second round matches. Each team competed four times against every other team. The bottom of the table was relegated directly to the Esiliiga, the penultimate had to go into relegation.

    Relegation

    At the end of the regular season, the Meistriliiga placed ninth against the Esiliiga placed second in the relegation. The games took place on November 17 and 24, 2018, with the second division first having home rights.
