Premjer League 2016/17

The Premjer League 2017/18 was the 26th season of the top Russian league in football. It started on July 16, 2017 with the game Ural Yekaterinburg against FK Rostov and ended on May 13, 2018. After the 20th match day, it was interrupted from December 12, 2017 to March 1, 2018 by the winter break.

The 16 teams played against each other twice on a total of 30 match days, divided into a first and a second round. The last two clubs were relegated directly. The third and fourth last played in the relegation against relegation.

Lokomotiv Moscow won its third championship title on the penultimate matchday after beating rivals Zenit St. Petersburg 1-0 . The newcomers FK SKA-Khabarovsk , however, had to return to the second division, otherwise the cup winner FK Tosno had to relegate due to financial difficulties and Amkar Perm due to license withdrawal.
