The Futbolny klub "Tambow" ( Russian Футбольный клуб "Тамбов" ), short FK Tambow , is a Russian football club from Tambov .
history
The FK Tambow was founded in 2013. In the 2015/16 season, the club made the leap into the second-class Perwenstwo FNL . After a fifth place in the debut season, Tambov managed to participate in the relegation to the Premjer League , the top Russian division, in the 2017/18 season . There they failed with two defeats at Amkar Perm .
In the 2018/19 season , the club finally made it into the Russian upper house as champions of the second division.
In the Premjer League, Tambov played his games in the Mordovia Arena in Saransk until the winter break due to renovation work in the home stadium , and since then they have been playing in the Nizhny Novgorod stadium .
