society

In 2006 Luiz Adriano began his career at SC Internacional from Porto Alegre. In his first year he won the FIFA Club World Cup , scoring the 2-1 winner against al Ahly Cairo in the semi-finals .

In March 2007, the striker moved to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Ukrainian Premjer-Liha for three million euros and has won the championship four times and the cup three times with this club. On May 21, 2009 he and Schachtar won the UEFA Cup final against Werder Bremen 2-1 at Istanbul's Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium , making it 1-0.

During the Champions League group game against FC Nordsjælland on November 20, 2012, Luiz Adriano took the ball shot towards the opposing half of the game after an injury break with a subsequent referee's ball and shot it into the goal to make it 1: 1 without much resistance. He was then involved in the fact that an agreed goal for Nordsjælland did not come off right after the restart. A few days later, UEFA banned him from a Champions League game.

In the 7-0 away win of Shakhtar Donetsk in the group game of the Champions League on October 22, 2014 against BATE Baryssau , Adriano scored five goals, setting Lionel Messi's record for the most goals in a CL game from 2012.

For the 2015/16 season , Luiz Adriano moved to the Italian Serie A at AC Milan . He received a five-year contract until June 30, 2020. He did not fulfill this, but played for Spartak Moscow from January 2017 . In July 2019, Luiz Adriano moved back to Brazil to Palmeiras São Paulo , where he signed a four-year contract.
