The Premjer League 2016/17 was the 25th season of the top Russian league in football. It started on July 30, 2016 with the game Zenit St. Petersburg against Lokomotiv Moscow and ended on May 21, 2017. From December 6, 2016 to March 2, 2017, it was interrupted by the winter break.
