The Pepsideild 2017 was the 106th season of the highest Icelandic football league . It began on April 30, 2017 and ended on September 20, 2017 with the 22nd matchday.

The league's twelve teams played against each other in a simple round-trip round, so that each team played 22 games. The last two teams were relegated at the end of the season.
The champions were admitted to qualifying for the 2018/19 Champions League , the second and third placed teams and the cup winners to those for the Europa League .
