The 2002 Icelandic Football Championship was the 91st season of Iceland's highest football league , and was also known as Símadeild (after sponsor Síminn ). The league began on May 20, 2002 and ended with the last games on September 21, 2002.
Ten teams took part in the competition, which was held in a simple round trip. KR Reykjavík won the club's 23rd title, and the third in the past four seasons.
