Icelandic Football Championship 1965

The Icelandic football championship in 1966 was the 55th season of the highest Icelandic football league . The season began on May 30, 1966 and ended on October 2, 1966.

Six teams took part in the competition, in which they each compete twice in a simple round trip. Then the two teams with the same points placed first played in a playoff for the championship title. Due to a tie in the first game, this final had to be repeated. The title went to Valur Reykjavík for the 13th time .
