The Icelandic football championship in 1975 was the 64th season of the highest Icelandic football league . The season began on May 17, 1975 and ended on August 31, 1975.
The title went to ÍA Akranes for the ninth time .
Due to the decision to play the league in the next season with nine and finally from 1977 with ten participants, the last-placed team did not descend directly, but had to play a relegation game against the runner-up in the 2nd division.
