The Pepsideild 2013 is the 102nd season of the highest Icelandic football league . It began on May 5, 2013 and ended on September 28, 2013 with the 22nd matchday.
Champion was KR Reykjavík , the defending champion FH Hafnarfjörður five points behind.

The twelve teams in the league play against each other in a simple round-trip round, so that each team plays 22 games. The last two teams will be relegated at the end of the season.
The champion is admitted to qualify for the Champions League 2014/15 , the second and third placed team and the cup winner to qualify for the Europa League .

Compared to the previous year, the composition of the league changed as follows: UMF Selfoss and UMF Grindavík were relegated to the 1st deild karla (2nd level) as eleventh and twelfth-placed teams in the 2012 season . The local master Þór Akureyri and the second-placed UMF Víkingur , however, rose to the first division.
