The Pepsideild 2018 was the 107th season of the highest Icelandic football league . It began on April 27, 2018 and ended on September 29, 2018 with the 22nd matchday.

The league's twelve teams played against each other in a simple round-trip round, so that each team played 22 games. The last two teams were relegated at the end of the season.
The champions were admitted to qualifying for the 2019/20 Champions League , the second and third placed teams and the cup winners for the Europa League .

Compared to the previous year, the composition of the league changed as follows: UMF Víkingur and ÍA Akranes were relegated to the 1st deild karla (2nd level) as eleventh and twelfth-placed teams in the 2017 season . The local champions ÍF Fylkir Reykjavík and the second-placed Keflavík ÍF , however, rose to the first division.
