The Icelandic football championship in 1957 was the 46th season of the highest Icelandic football league . It began on June 10, 1957 and ended on September 23, 1957.

Six teams took part in the competition, each of which competed once against each other, with ÍB Hafnarfjörður newly promoted from the second division. The title went to ÍA Akranes for the fourth time .
