Icelandic Football Championship 1972

The 1973 Icelandic Football Championship was the 62nd season of Iceland's highest football league . The league began on May 19, 1973 and ended with the last games on September 17, 1973.

Eight teams took part in the championship, which was played in a simple round trip. Keflavík ÍF was able to win the fourth title in the club's history, with all successes taking place within the last ten years.
