The 2018 Virslīga was the 27th season of the top Latvian men's football league since it was founded in 1992. It was hosted by the Latvian Football Association . The season started on March 31 and ended on November 10, 2018.

Riga FC became Latvian champions for the first time.

The league started with eight clubs.

The SK Babīte was expelled from the league in June 2017 for confirmed match fixing and was relegated by force. As a result, all of Babīte's previous season games were canceled. The team is replaced by the only newcomer, Valmieras FK .
