Pellérd ( Croatian Pelir or Pelerda ) is a Hungarian municipality in the Pécs district in Baranya County .
Geographical location
Pellérd is about six kilometers southwest of the center of the city of Pécs . Neighboring communities are Keszü and Görcsöny.
history
The place was already settled during the Roman Empire . In 1305 he was mentioned in writing under the name Pelerd . This possibly goes back to the Cuman personal name Beler . Hungary's first silk spinning factory was located in the village.
