Kozármisleny (German: Mischlen ) is a small town in the south of Hungary . It is located in Baranya County and belongs to the Pécs small area .

Location and traffic

Kozármisleny is conveniently located on the road 57 to Mohács and on the M60 Pécs - Budapest motorway, which opened in March 2010, approx. 200 km south-south-west of Budapest, 110 km south of Balaton and approx. 10 km south-east of the county capital Pécs in the Branauer hill country ( Baranyai Dombság ) .

history

Kozármisleny was created in 1928 by the union of the two smaller communities Kiskozár and Misleny . The first was first mentioned in a document in 1332, the second in 1266. Both districts were inhabited in the Turkish era, in the 18th century Kiskozár was first inhabited by Hungarians and southern Slavs, later mainly by Germans, while Misleny was constantly inhabited by Hungarians. In 2007 Kozármisleny was promoted to city.

The soccer team of the sports club Kozármisleny ( Kozármisleny SE ) plays in the 3rd league ( Nemzeti Bajnokság III ) in Hungary. There is also a modern sports hall and a skateboarding facility. There are also 4 fishing ponds.

Broadcasting station

To the east of Kozármisleny there is a radio transmitter for the medium wave frequency 873 kHz, which uses a 133 meter high guyed steel framework mast as a transmitting antenna.
