The 1993 Virslīga was the second season of the highest Latvian football league, since it was re-established in 1992. It was hosted by the Latvian Football Association . The season began on April 24, 1993 and ended on October 23, 1993.

Champion became defending champion Skonto Riga .

Participants were the clubs that finished first to ten last season. There were no promoters this season. The ten teams played against each other twice on a total of 18 match days, divided into a first half and a second half. The bottom of the table was relegated.
