Knattspyrnufélagið Víkingur , better known as Víkingur Reykjavík , is a football club from the Icelandic capital Reykjavík . The club colors are black and red. The Víkin Stadium in southeast Reykjavík has 1,100 seats.
history
The association was founded on April 21, 1908. Since then, Víkingur has won five titles ( 1920 , 1924 , 1981 , 1982 and 1991 ) and two cup wins ( 1971, 2019) and two Supercup (1982, 1983). Overall, however, the club was always overshadowed by the larger clubs KR , Fram and Valur Reykjavík . After several relegations and promotions, Víkingur has been back in the first-class Pepsideild since 2014 .
