The Prva Crnogorska Liga 2012/13 was the seventh season of the highest Montenegrin football league. The season began on August 11, 2012 and ended on June 1, 2013 with the 33rd and final game day.
Defending champion was FK Budućnost Podgorica .

The twelve teams competed against each other in three rounds, so that 33 match days had to be completed. The teams that finished in the first six places after 22 games had an additional six home games, the teams in the lower six places had five home games. The bottom of the table was relegated to the Druga Crnogorska Liga . The teams in places ten and eleven played in the relegation to stay in the league.

The last placed in the preseason FK Bokelj Kotor rose to the second highest league , and was replaced by FK Čelik Nikšić , who won the Druga Crnogorska League 2011/12 .
The clubs FK Dečić Tuzi and FK Berane, which were tenth and eleven in the previous year, were defeated in the relegation against the second and third-placed teams FK Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje and FK Mornar Bar of the second division. There were three newcomers this season.
