Petrovac na moru ( Cyrillic Петровац на Мору , Italian Castellastua ) is a coastal town in Montenegro that belongs to the Budva municipality .

Petrovac is located on the coast between Budva and Bar , at the point where the old mountain road from Podgorica reaches the coast. The place has a 600 m long sandy beach and is therefore a popular tourist destination. Petrovac is often seen as a “quieter” vacation spot, in contrast to the nearby livelier towns of Budva and Sutomore .

In front of Petrovac are the two small islands Katič and Sveta Neđelja .

Sports

With OFK Petrovac , the city has a football club that plays in the top national league.
