Sylvia Young Theater School is a private drama school in Marylebone , London , named after its founder and director Sylvia Young.

The school was originally established on Drury Lane in 1981 but moved to its current location due to necessary expansion. Students attend either full-time school , part-time classes, or holiday school . There are now also adult classes.

The school accepts both boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 16. It has a clear focus on the performing arts ( performing arts ), so acting, singing and dancing. Full-time students receive an education and testing in all areas of GCSE -Lehrplans ( GCSE curriculum ). Admission to the school takes place after a successful audition , i.e. an audition, as well as a successful interview and a positive written assessment.
