Samantha Zoe Womack (born Janus , born November 2, 1972 in Brighton , England ) is a British actress , musical artist and pop singer .

Life

At a young age, she enjoyed an education at the Sylvia Young Theater School in London . As the winner of the British preliminary decision, she was allowed to compete for her home country at the Concorso Eurovisione della Canzone in Rome in 1991 . With the pop song A Message to Your Heart - at that time still under her birth name Samantha Janus - she reached number 10. In the UK charts, the single reached number 30. From that year her career as an actress began, she was in television series and on several times to experience the musical stage. From 1994 to 1998 she had a starring role as Mandy in the BBC - sitcom Game On and became nationally known. In 1998 she starred in the series Liverpool 1 and Babes in the Wood . After a baby break, she appeared in the drama series Strange from 2002 to 2003 and in the 2006 comedy series Home Again . Since 2007 she played the character Ronnie Mitchell in the BBC soap opera EastEnders . In 2011 she starred as Nellie Forbush in the London production of the musical South Pacific at the Barbican Center .
