James Newman (singer)

James Richard Newman (* 1988 in Settle , North Yorkshire ) is an English singer and singer-songwriter . He is the older brother of the singer John Newman .

Career

James Newman has written many songs by famous artists. In 2014 he won a British Single of the Year award at the Brit Awards for composing the song Waiting All Night .

On 27 February 2020, gave the BBC announced that the singer the United Kingdom at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam ( Netherlands should represent). His song My Last Breath , written by Adam Argyle, Ed Drewett , Iain James and Newman himself, was released on the same day. However, the competition had to be canceled on March 18, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
