Life

At the age of 14, Newman began playing guitar and writing and producing his own songs. Among other things, he also created house songs and learned to DJ .

When Newman moved to London at the age of 20 and signed a contract with Island Records, he started his own band . A little later he was able to contact Rudimental and it was decided to record the two tracks Feel the Love and Not Giving In together. With Feel the Love scored a surprise success, the single reached the charts, for example, was in Germany or Austria and the United Kingdom to the number-one hit. Also Not Giving In was a place in the top 20 of the British charts posted. Love Me Again reached number 1 in the UK singles chart in July 2013 . On September 11, 2013, he announced his debut album Tribute , which was released in Germany on October 11.

In autumn 2014, Newman received the European Border Breakers Award .

Newman was in a relationship with English singer Ella Eyre in 2013 and later with model Kayla Cadorna. His brother James Newman was supposed to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam .
