Rudimental is a four-piece music collective from the Hackney borough of London . The band's style combines drum and bass and electronic music .
Career
In February 2012, Rudimental released their first single Spoons on Black Butter Records , for which they had won the two singers MNEK and Syron. The track, influenced by Detroit techno , became an underground hit. They recorded their second single Feel the Love with John Newman . The title was named "Hottest Record in the World" and "Single of the Week" by DJs like Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 . After its release on May 28, 2012, it rose to number 1 on the UK iTunes charts.
On April 29, 2013, the first studio album Home was released by the Warner Music Group . This album contains the two singles Feel the Love and Not Giving In . On April 14, 2013 the single Waiting All Night was released, which immediately took number 1 in the UK singles charts. The song Free , released on November 18, 2013 , which also comes from the album Home and is primarily sung by Emeli Sandé , made it to number 38 in the German single charts. In Austria it reached number 41 and in the United Kingdom even number 26 in the respective single charts. At the end of 2013 they were confirmed for the open-air festivals Rock im Park and Rock am Ring the following year in Nuremberg and at the Nürburgring.
