Syndicat National de l'édition Phonographique
The Syndicat National de l'édition Phonographique ( in German about Nationale Union für Phonographische Ausgabe ), or SNEP for short , is an interprofessional organization that represents the interests of the French music industry . The association was founded in 1922. The member of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry currently consists of 48 member societies. The association's tasks are to compile the French music charts , to represent rights and to award music awards for albums , singles and videos . The SNEP has been awarding the awards for music sales and use since 1973.
