IFPI Austria is the association of the Austrian music industry and the Austrian national group of IFPI .
tasks
The members of IFPI Austria include major labels as well as independent companies and make up around 90% of the Austrian music market. The association's president is Dietmar Lienbacher from Sony Music Austria, and the lawyer Franz Medwenitsch has been the managing director since 1993. The association sits down u. a. for the protection of intellectual property and the fight against music piracy , organizes the annual Amadeus Austrian Music Award , publishes the official Austrian sales charts Austria Top 40 and has been awarding gold and platinum awards since 1986 .
