Recording Industry Foundation in Taiwan

The Recording Industry Foundation in Taiwan , or RIT for short , is an association with the task of awarding music awards in Taiwan and representing the music industry there. It was founded in 1986.

Until November 2008, the national group of the International Phonetic Association was referred to as IFPI Taiwan . Since March 2002 awards for music sales have been given to end customers based on the number of items sold . Before that, the number of records shipped and offered in the country was the basis for music awards.
