Recording Industry Association of Malaysia

The Recording Industry Association of Malaysia , RIM for short (international), founded as Persatuan Industri Rakaman Malaysia (Malaysian) is an association with the task of awarding music awards in Malaysia and representing the music industry there. It was founded on December 12, 1978 under the name Malaysian Association of Phonograph Producers (MAPP). In 1982 the organization was renamed the Malaysian Association of Phonogram and Videogram Producers and Distributors (MAPV). The IPFI member has had her current name since 1996 .
