The Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA) is a Belgian organization responsible for representing the interests and rights of the music , video and video game industries. It was created in February 2008 as a merger of the three individual associations IFPI Belgium (music industry), Belgian Video Federation (BVF) (video industry) and Belgian Luxembourg Interactive Software Association (BLISA) (video game industry).

organization

The organization is now divided into BEA Music , BEA Video and BEA Interactive . Since 2013 there has also been a collaboration with the Association Belge de Distributeurs de Films (ABDF) , the association of Belgian film distributors . The non-profit company Ultratop , which publishes the official Belgian music charts , was founded on the initiative of the BEA . As before IFPI Belgium , the BEA forms the Belgian national group of IFPI . As such, it also awards the country's music awards . They have been awarded since 1995.

Limits to the award of phonograms

The award limits for the respective products are based on the date of publication, so an album from 1999 that is awarded today will be awarded for the award limit from 1999. The only exception are awards for international singles since July 1, 2018. From this point in time, international singles who have not received an award to date will also be awarded the current award limit. From now on, the awards will take place here according to the date of the award.
