IFPI Sweden

The IFPI Sweden is an offshoot of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry in Sweden and represents the music industry in the country. The organization has given gold and platinum music awards since 1987 and creates the Grammotex online catalog, which contains over 100,000 songs.

Singles

IFPI Sweden has been awarding singles awards since 1987. Since 1996, due to fluctuating sales figures, the award limits have been adjusted at irregular intervals. Between 2006 and 2011, sales from "Realtones" (ring tones) were also added to the single sales.
