IFPI Denmark is an offshoot of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry in Denmark and represents the Danish music industry . IFPI Denmark controls sales figures for albums, singles and DVDs sold in the country, issues music awards , checks music licenses and provides the official Danish charts. The gold and platinum awards have been given since the early 1990s.
