MNEK
MNEK , real name Uzoechi Osisioma Emenike (born November 9, 1994 in Lewisham , London ) is an English songwriter and producer .
biography
Emenike began making music at the age of nine and had his first record deal at the age of 14. In 2011 he applied to Miranda Cooper from the Xenomania production team . His first success there was collaboration on the song All Fired Up by the Saturdays , which was a number three hit in the UK. Other chart hits that arose with his participation are Home Run by Misha B and Wanna Go by Maxsta . As a musician he had the opportunity to work with Rudimental or Sub Focus .
His biggest success so far was working with Duke Dumont and A * M * E on the number one hit Need U (100%) . He even received a Grammy nomination for his participation .
Emenike also creates remixes for artists such as Duran Duran , Tinie Tempah and Olly Murs and also produces her own songs. In October he signed a new record deal with EMI / Virgin . At Sound of 2014 , his breakthrough as a musician was predicted to be within a year.
