Jax Jones (born July 25, 1987 in London ; actually Timucin Fabian Kwong Wah Aluo ) is an English DJ from London.

Career

Timucin Aluo originally grew up with rap, gospel and afrobeat and began his musical career under the stage name Jax Jones as a hip-hop producer. In 2014 he met the house DJ Duke Dumont and discovered the genre for himself. Together they wrote and recorded the song I Got U , which sampled Whitney Houston's hit My Love Is Your Love and the second number one hit for Dumont and went platinum . At the 2015 Grammy Awards , the song was nominated for an award for best dance recording.

Jax Jones released his first own single, Yeah Yeah Yeah , in 2015. The following year he hit the UK charts for the first time with House Work . He was supported by the singer MNEK and the American DJ Mike Dunn. The breakthrough came in late 2016 with the single You Don't Know Me with the singer Raye . The song reached number 3 in the UK and received a gold award. And at the beginning of 2017 it also hit the charts in other European countries and Australia.

In addition, Jones has worked as a songwriter and producer for other and wrote, among others, the number-two hit Can We Dance of vamps and Ocean Drive Duke Dumont and text from Your Ex by Tinie Tempah with. He also made remixes for Ellie Goulding and Charli XCX, among others .
