Madison Elle Beer (born March 5, 1999 in Jericho , Long Island , New York ) is an American singer . She gained attention through Justin Bieber , who publicized her YouTube videos on Twitter . With her debut EP As She Pleases she reached the US charts for the first time. Madison is under contract with the record label "Access Records".

Life

Madison Beer went to school in Jericho and later started private lessons. Her parents separated and her father Robert remarried. Because of Madison's early career, she and her parents moved to Los Angeles . Beer has a younger brother named Ryder who is a model. She is Jewish and of Ashkenazi descent.

Career

Until 2013: musical beginnings

Beer started uploading cover versions of popular songs to her YouTube channel in early 2012 . After Canadian musician Justin Bieber shared the link to her cover of Etta James' song At Last on Twitter, she received a lot of attention. Bieber enabled her to sign a record deal with " Island Records ", the label to which he is also under contract. From then on, the manager Scooter Braun was at her side.

Beer sang the title track We Are Monster High for the Monster High franchise . In February 2013, the song Valentine appeared on the Internet. This was developed in collaboration with the American singer Cody Simpson and was occasionally played on the radio station "Radio Disney". The song was not officially released as a single, but it could be heard on her official SoundCloud profile. On September 12th 2013, Beer released her debut single Melodies , which was written and produced by the English producer team TMS together with Ina Wroldsen . Justin Bieber can also be seen as a guest in the official music video.

2014 to 2016: Working on the debut album

Beer began working on her debut album, which she believed had a strong R&B and pop influence. She announced songs of various topics, rhythms and moods.

Unbreakable was released as the second single from their debut studio album. The song was released on June 17, 2014. Here she was supported by a new team of producers. On December 6, 2014, Beer had a million followers on Twitter for the first time. On February 16, 2015 it was announced that Beer would be the singer of a single by the DJ duo Mako. The collaboration resulted in the song I Won't Let You Walk Away , which was released as a single on February 24, 2015 along with the official music video. The song reached several placements in the US EDM and Airplay charts.

On September 4, 2015, she released the song All for Love , which was created in collaboration with the American pop rapper duo Jack & Jack . The joint music video followed on September 16, 2015. On December 18, 2015 Beer released the song Something Sweet as a single. However, this did not appear on "Island Records", but on the record label "MB Productions".

Since 2017: As She Pleases

On May 19, 2017, the song Dead was released as the lead single of their upcoming EP after being announced on Beer's Instagram on May 12, 2017. For this single she signed a contract with the record label "Access Records". The music video was released on August 3, 2017. With Say It to My Face , the second single from the EP was released on November 3, 2017. The music video followed on November 15, 2017.

After almost three years of work, she finished her first EP in early 2018. She released this under the title As She Pleases on February 2, 2018. After she first became active as a songwriter on I Won't Let You Walk Away , she also became active as a writer for the EP on several tracks on the album. As songwriters, Raye and Madison Love took part in the Extended Play .

On March 11, 2018, the As She Pleases Tour began her first international tour. In total, she performed in 30 cities until the final took place on May 20, 2018. Ten days earlier, Home with You , the third and final single , was released on May 10, 2018 .

On September 14, 2018, the French DJ and producer David Guetta released his seventh studio album 7 , on which Madison Beer contributed the vocals of the song Blame It on Love .
