Josh James Dubovie (born November 27, 1990 in Laindon , Essex ) is a British singer .

At the age of nine, Dubovie first performed in a stage club. When he was 15, he played Enjolras in a school play of Les Miserables . In July 2008 he was in the same musical in the role of Javert in a production at the Towngate Theater in Basildon. Also in July 2008 he performed in front of 40,000 visitors at the Basildon Festival. In May 2008 he won the Southend United Blues Idol singing competition , which featured contestants from all over Essex, and in September 2008 he was the winner of Billericay 's Got Talent . At the big TV casting shows The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent , however, he was rejected in advance.

Dubovie was a candidate on March 12, 2010 in the British talent show Eurovision: Your Country Needs You, broadcast on BBC One . He competed against the five candidates Alexis Gerred, Esma Akkilic, Karen Harding , Miss Fitz and Uni 5 and was chosen among the last three participants after his interpretation of the Jason Donovan hit Too Many Broken Hearts by Pete Waterman. After the interpretation of the winning song by Dubovie, Alexis Gerred and Esma Akkilic, Josh Dubovie was finally identified as a candidate for the Eurovision Song Contest by telephone vote. When he took part in the Eurovision Song Contest with the contribution That Sounds Good to Me, composed by Pete Waterman and Mike Stock , he ended up in last place. The song was also a huge failure commercially. For the first time since 1987, a national contribution missed entry into the British charts.

In 2013 Dubovie called himself just "Josh James" according to his middle name and published a title called Game Over .
