Bardo was a short-lived British pop duo , consisting of the singers Sally Ann Triplett (* 1962 ) and Stephen Fischer .
background
The group was founded especially for the British qualification for the Eurovision Song Contest 1982 ; Triplett had already participated in The Hague two years earlier as a member of the Prima Donna group . As the winner of the preliminary round, they were allowed to compete in the competition in Harrogate with the pop song One Step Further . They reached number seven there and the single for it reached number two in the UK charts. The two successor singles, however, no longer reached a chart position and in 1983 the group disbanded.
