Lucie Jones (born March 20, 1991 in Pentyrch , Wales ) is a British singer , actress and model .

Career

Lucie Jones took part in the sixth season of The X Factor in 2009 , where she was eliminated in week five.

After participating in the casting show, she began a modeling career before she was able to gain a foothold as an actress in 2010: she was allowed to play Cosette in the musical Les Misérables . That same year she got a first role on television when she got a guest role on the television series The Sarah Jane Adventures .

In 2017 she took part in Eurovision 2017: You Decide , the British preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . With the song Never Give Up on You , written by The Treatment, Emmelie de Forest and Lawrie Martin , she won the show on January 27, 2017 and was thus allowed to represent Great Britain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev . In the final on May 13, 2017, she finished 15th with 111 points.
