Jaqueline Maria Pereira de Carvalho (born December 31, 1983 in Recife ) is a Brazilian volleyball player . She won the Olympic gold medal in 2008 and 2012.

Career

Carvalho began her career in 1997 with the youngsters of Sport Recife . Two years later she moved to the Osasco Voleibol Clube. In 2001 she won the World Cup with the Brazilian juniors. In 2003 and 2004 she became Brazilian champions with Osasco. She achieved the same success in the 2004/05 season with her new club Rio de Janeiro VC. In 2005, the outside attacker made her debut in the senior national team , with which she won the Grand Prix and the South American Championship in the same year . In 2006 the Brazilians defended their title at the Grand Prix and reached the final of the World Cup . Carvalho then moved to the Italian league to Giannino Pieralisi Volley and was runner-up there in 2007. With the national team, she finished second at the Pan American Games and the 2007 World Cup . The following season she played in Spain for CAV Murcia 2005 and became champions with the club. Brazil traveled to the Olympic Games as the Grand Prix winner and won the gold medal by beating the USA in the final . After the tournament, Carvalho returned to Italy and made the national double of cup and championship with Robursport Pesaro in 2009. Since the 2009/10 season she has been back at the Osasco Voleibol Clube, which won the national championship in 2010. The national team was defeated in the same year at the Grand Prix and the World Championship in the final. In 2011, Brazil finished second again in the Grand Prix , but won the South American Championship. In 2012 Carvalho was again national champion with Osasco and was successful with the national team at the Pan American Games. In London, Brazil defended the title at the 2012 Olympic Games - again in the final against the USA .

Carvalho married international Murilo Endres on October 22, 2009 .
