2007 Women's Volleyball World Cup

The 2007 Volleyball World Cup was the tenth edition of the competition. It took place in Japan between November 2nd and 16th . Italy won the title. This competition was also considered a qualification for the 2008 Olympic Games .

•  Thailand and South Korea finished third and fourth in the 2007 Asian Cup 
•  Cuba and USA as finalists of the NORCECA championship 2007 
•  Brazil and Peru as finalists of the South American Championship 2007 
•  Kenya as the winner of the African Cup of Nations 2007
•  Poland and Dominican Republic at the invitation of the FIVB .

The twelve participants played four rounds, informally divided into two groups. The system was "everyone against everyone". The first three teams each received a place for the 2008 Olympic Games .
