Murilo Endres (born May 3, 1981 in Passo Fundo ) is a Brazilian volleyball player .

Career

Murilo Endres is the younger brother of the national player Gustavo Endres . After completing his sports training at school, he played in the University team at Passo Fundo. In 1998 he moved to EC Banespa . There he met his current wife, Jacqueline. In 2001 the outside attacker won the Junior World Championship with the Brazilian juniors. In 2003 he finally made his debut in the senior national team . In the same year he moved to EC União Suzano . In 2004 he won the first of four consecutive titles in the volleyball world league with Brazil . A year later, Brazil was also successful in the South American Championship with Endres. The attacker now went to the Italian league, where he played one season for Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia before he was signed by first division club Pallavolo Modena . In 2006, Endres won the World Cup in Japan with Brazil by beating Poland in the final . In addition to successfully defending their titles in the continental championship and the world league, Brazil also won the World Cup and the Pan-American Games in 2007 with Endres . In 2008 Modena won the Challenge Cup with the Brazilian . Then Endres took part in the Olympic tournament in Beijing , which ended for Brazil in the final against the United States . The following year he returned to the domestic league, where he has since played for SESI São Paulo . In 2009 and 2010 further titles followed at the South American Championship and the World League. At the 2010 World Cup , Brazil successfully defended their title by beating Cuba . In 2011 Endres became Brazilian champions with São Paulo. The national team secured the fourth title in a row at the continental championship. At the 2012 Olympic Games in London , he again won the silver medal with Brazil. He was also named MVP (Most Valuable Player) at this tournament.
