Originally, Agù bought a large farm with his partner Baron Dimitri Sensaud de Lavaud (1882–1947). Dimitri Sensaud de Lavaud was a Spanish immigrant of French and Russian origins. Sensaud de Lavaud flew for the first time in Latin America on January 7, 1910 with the plane "São Paulo".

The immigrants who came from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Ireland and Eastern Europe (especially from Poland, Ukraine and Russia) are worth mentioning. In the first half of the 20th century, immigrants also came from Armenia, Japan and Lebanon. Osasco was part of São Paulo until February 19, 1962 and then became an independent municipality.
