Lucas Alves de Araújo (born July 22, 1992 in Osasco ), Lucas or Lucas Alves for short , also known as Lucão , is a Brazilian football player . The central defender is under contract with FC Luzern in the Swiss Super League .
Career
Lucas played for Nacional Atlético Clube in his youth and then moved to Corinthians São Paulo . There he moved up from the youth for the 2011 season , but had no chance of appearances in the first team. Because of this, he was awarded to various Brazilian clubs in the following two years. While he was out of action at Associação Atlética Flamengo and Olaria AC , he played in Série B on September 4, 2012 wearing the Ipatinga FC jersey . In March 2013, Lucas was loaned to Atlético Goianiense and came on two missions.
In January 2014 he was permanently signed by Athletico Paranaense . For the second half of the 2014/15 season he moved to the German second division club VfR Aalen . On April 6, 2015, he made his debut for the second team in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg in the 0-1 defeat at Bahlinger SC . His contract, which expired at the end of the season, was not extended. In July 2015, the Swiss second division FC Biel-Bienne signed him. After his forced relegation after the 2015/16 season, Lucas joined FC Le Mont-sur-Lausanne in mid-August 2016 , which also played in the Challenge League.
In January 2017 he moved to FC Luzern in the Super League, with which he signed a contract until the end of June 2020. His current contract is valid until 2022.
